David Chauvin, DO currently works for Premier Physician Services in Dayton, Ohio.  He is a Board Certified Emergency Physician and has over 23 years of experience.  David Chauvin is the current Chairman of Ohio’s ACEP’s Reimbursement Committee and is the former Chairman of the National ACEP’s Reimbursement Committee and still serves as a committee member.  He is also a committee member on the National Coding and Nomenclature Committee and is a member of CGS’s Carrier Advisory Committee as a representative Ohio emergency physician.

At Premier Physician Services David Chauvin helps provide services in emergency medicine, occupational medicine, billing, coding, reimbursement and correctional hospitalization.

David Chauvin is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Physicians and also holds certifications in PALS, ATLS, and ACLS.

David Chauvin, DO’s AOBEM Certification

The American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians was revolutionary in training of emergency physicians.  In 1980 the first examination for certification in emergency medication took place and the activities have since increased for the AOBEM over the years.  After the changes took place a re-certification process was instituted in 1994 and after the first of January 1994 all certifications are time-dated for ten years.  The following year, in 1995 the AOBEM was given jurisdiction in Emergency Medical Services.
